Miguel Ivorra

Miguel Ivorra is an artist whose work encompasses installation, sculpture, drawing, collage, video and photography. Ready made objects and found materials are detached from their conventional role or every day use, displayed together in an unorthodox way and transformed into works of art.

Miguel’s works are aesthetically beautiful and wonderfully crafted, but they are also charged with deeper meaning and intellectual challenges. His artworks concern marginalized social roles and identities, and involve subjects regarding death, religion and sexuality.

He has produced numerous installation pieces encouraging the audience to get truly involved with the work and have a shared experience. Miguel Ivorra’s art aims to confront the viewer and interact through an unconscious and intellectual approach.

Miguel Ivorra has exhibited his work in many galleries and major institutions like the London Royal College of Art, CASS Bank Space Gallery in partnership with the Whitechapel Gallery, Rich Mix in partnership with INIVA, Financial Services Authority, Cock and Bull Gallery, Guerilla Galleries, Red Gallery, Espacio Gallery, The Bermondsey Project, The Brick Lane Gallery, Hoxton Gallery,The Crypt Gallery,The Daniel Libeskind Space, The Rag Factory, Vibe Gallery, AVA Gallery UEL in London, The Basement, Prescription Art Gallery, Grey Area Gallery, compARTment studios in Brighton and the CCCB, Centre Cívic Guinardó, Centre Cívic de Sant Andreu, Espacio Unico Gallery, Mercat del Flors in Barcelona.
