Robert Cervera

Born in Barcelona, Robert Cervera lives and works in London. He studied Sculpture at the Royal College of Art and was awarded the 2014 Kenneth Armitage Young Sculptor prize for his Masters graduation show.

His sculptures explore materiality and our relationship with it. The one-to-one physical encounter between the viewer and the work is paired with a reassessment of the nature and behaviour of the materials used, which seem to defy their assumed roles and taxonomies.
